Re: graphic cards

I have a Voodoo 2 PCI card, 12 MB, and this little baby kicks all your VGA cards out of the competition. See how small the RAM size on this thing is? 12 MB. Just 12. Now you tell me, can you run Need For Speed Underground 2 on a P3 with a 12 MB GeForce? Full details? Hah. Those cards exists no more. The persons who still have them are lucky. One thing though. New games do no support Voodoo files, so you'll either have to create your own patches, or download them off the internet. Takes some time, but the effect is amazing. Oh, if any of you guys has one of those and wants to get rid of it, I'm buying. Just name your price. You don't know the power of those. Peace out!

Re: graphic cards

Yes, Voodoo was sold to Nvidia, but that does not mean that the people who gave the market the fabulous Voodoo 2 cards, are giving the same work in Nvidia. Here's what happened. The Voodoo scientists are simply working on GeForce cards now. They STOPPED working on Voodoo developments. The Voodoo legend is no more. Its scientists are working on a totally different thing now that has nothing to do with Voodoo, so no, it's not the same thing. Note to yourself though, the really good one refused to work for Nvidia, and moved on for more dreaming jobs (though less paying), like the development team in Pixar, and upgrade team on the legendary Wildcat video cards. Peace out!

Re: graphic cards

overclocked inno3d fx5700LE with TV-in
I advise you to buy the nvidia NX6600, best performance/price ratio IMO. I't faster than the ati 9800 pro, very very close to the 9800xt.
You can have the MSI PCI-x version for 220$ on this site:

Re: graphic cards

nah dont get 6600 if it is not 6600 "GT" cause the GT version is the one that makes a difference!!

Re: graphic cards

the only difference between 6600 and 6600gt is the type of memory gddr3 for the gt
however the 6600 is very overclockable with a bit of tweaking you can get nearly the same performance as a gt for a lower price
the only drawback for a non gt is that it doesn't support sli

Re: graphic cards

You're probably right.
The asus n6600gt 128mb is even cheaper on the above site than the MSI nx6600 256mb
