Flash Midi player

Hey guys, anyone knows if it is possible to play midi files in flash? I am looking for a midi player in flash to embed in a webpage in which I want to play a tune. The midi tune is just 100kb in size which is awesome and I don't want to convert the sound to mp3 and have it gain extra size in the web page. So please if you have any ideas or comments about this issue I would be more than happy to hear your ideas. Thanks in advance and have a good day.

Re: Flash Midi player

This is mostly some underground library from japan.
Check this example out http://wonderfl.net/c/w65W
The library is org.si.sion. I have seen a lot of examples that use it, but haven't tried it myself. I know there are some converters back from NES into the format that this library uses natively.

Re: Flash Midi player

Flash does not support MIDI files natively, but there are a few libraries that try to add this functionality to flash, below are two libraries on Google. (I never used them myself):

http://code.google.com/p/flash-midi-player/

Good luck! :)
