I think it is better to have someone clear the items for you rather then aramex or dhl, I know a broker that does that and he makes the pricing clear before doing the job.infiniteloop wroteJust ask the officials , as simply as that.Kareem wroteinfiniteloop wrote
First of all there are no customs on PC parts period , only VAT
The 11% VAT are still at 1515 till February when it will joint the 15000 club
And yes this info is given by 4 different salesman who work in reputable companies .
And if the customs reach sayrafa it will mean that 90% of legal companies will close their doors, as simple as that.
Only tehrib shops will survive
1) No customs on PC parts according to whom? I just received a 64GB DDR5 kit by aramex and a 990 Pro by DHL and BOTH ARE CHARGING CUSTOMS.
2) VAT is on the TOTAL AMOUNT you are paying IT DOESN'T MATTER at which rate the VAT is. If you are paying 1 million you will have to pay 110,000 LBP . The value of the goods you are shipping is now calculated @ 15,000 LL that's why it's called DOLLAR JOMROKI because it's neither sayrafa nor official rate.
And no your info is incorrect take it from someone who owns a company.
Cheers...

Hi guys, my friend is getting me a brand new pixel 6 with him from dubai. Its original price when launched was $600. But after the discounts I will get it for $320.
I'm wondering How much will I pay for Customs/tax ?

I am not sure Google phones are recongnised in Lebanon. I have Google Pixel 5 few years ago and came to Lebanon and didn't pay anything.Nathan wroteHi guys, my friend is getting me a brand new pixel 6 with him from dubai. However, the battery on the pixel is bad. I switched recently to iPhone.
Oh okay thanks. Yeah the battery is not as good as the iphone 13-14 but its not that bad in the pixel 6. As long as I get 6-7 hours screen on time im good with it.

I was at Libanpost last week and the teller told me you have to call them in order to deliver the item to you, he also mentioned any item >$4 will go through customs. Now the problem is when packages get to Leb, they generate a new tracking number and there's no way to know it. So I have no clue how people are dealing with this.infiniteloop wroteI have an item from aliexpress for a month in the Beirut airport "arrived at line haul"

The items (watch leather strap) is with the customs for more than 3 weeks, I called Libanpost, they told me it's normal and that nowadays customs can take up to 1 month and a half to release aliexpress items!
Is that true?

I have a ~20$ item that has been at "arrived at line haul" since 21/7/2023 (~20 days), I contacted liban post they told me that it didn't arrive yet, and the tracking on their website is still at "Item departed to final destination". I checked the tracking data on Singapore Post website and it also states that the product had arrived to Lebanon
It took 35 days to get out of customs
Guess what?
they only have 1 person in the customs for all couriers

Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
I wanted to ask if anyone has been using Shop&Ship or any other courier service to ship items to Lebanon lately.
I've noticed that the customs charges are very exaggerated.
For instance, I bought some sleeves from Amazon for only $3, but I had to pay 900000 LBP, which is three times the actual price of the item.
Similarly, I purchased a keyboard for $23 but ended up paying 2,000,000 LBP just for customs. ironically they valued the keyboard "by themself" at 14,000,000 LBP ($157)
"chabeb ta7et arraro min rason ino ysa3ruwa hal2ad?!"
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution?

same experience here, I paid $80 for a $200 item because they valued it at $450 for some reason and there's nothing to be done.zizo99 wroteHey everyone, how are you all doing?

actual robbery.
Politicians desperately need to steal from us, nothing will change without a true revolution
If there is a big discrepancy, try emailing them and sending them a copy of your invoice and see if you can get that reconciled. I have had them make errors before in my favor and against me but not to that extent.zizo99 wroteHey everyone, how are you all doing?

Anyhow good luck and let us know how that goes.
On my experience in many countries, express shipment of items like Aramex, DHL, Fedex is good for items $100-$1000. Point is _express_, it means you need item urgently and ready to pay very premium (cross-border trade) for that.
Anything above or below it becomes headache.
If you are not ready to pay premium - better to search for alternative means of shipping (i didnt found anything in Lebanon :( , outside we was doing "group buying" for cheap items ).
