Internet in Lebanon - General Questions
i'm currently with THGV, they are all time perfect, but issues start one month ago, i barely get 500kbps after 7PM on a VDSL connection.
any suggestions ? what do you think about Terranet "Terra play" bundle ?
I have this same issue as well with THGV. around 7pm --> after 11pm the internet ceases to exist unless you are on youtube, google search, or instagram. I'm not sure why for these 4 hours they only give proper bandwidth to those websites and block everything else to 250 - 500kbit. It's like everything is working properly at 7-8mbit then suddenly when the clock hits 8 pm it magically goes to 500kbit. This isn't peak time slowdown, this is just them deliberately capping everyone at 500kbit unless you are playing on youtube or instagram. I haven't tried terranet but I think i'll just move to ogero to be on the safe side.amkahal wroteGuys, who is the best provider when it comes to peak time speeds?

Ogero is the best
I have a question please,
1)What's the best MTU size for Ogero PPPoE?
Is it 1492, or 1480(default) or something else?
2)By the way, do I have to reduce my ethernet MTU to be the same as PPPoE or 1500 is good for that?
Does anyone know why 2 subscribers in the same building would be connected to 2 different lines? And is it possible to switch to the same line as my neighbour? I'd rather get a slow connection that is available all the time than a faster connection that is not available during the day.
Try this: When your subscription expires do not renew it. When you open any webpage you might get automatically redirected to the website of your provider.Moudimadi wroteHello all, the reseller im taking from isn't giving me a website to check the speed and the quota available. i asked him he said he's stopping it i can't see it. I have the PPPOE username and password and when i go to speedtest i get the company he's taking from Energy Bridge Sarl. i went to their website and i did put my username and password but it didn't open. Can anyone help me please?
Also IDM are now charging 10% extra for online payments. The only way to find that out is at the last step of payment. Couldn't they at least state that more clearly?!!
No ideayourlocalfbiagent wroteDo you know if the 10% also applies to bank domiciliation payyments?

Anyway, just wanted to check if there's a problem currently with Alfa and/or MTC in Lebanon? I'm in Canada and I have relatives in Lebanon with whom I chat on Whatsapp.
IDM suffers from packet loss during peak times, especially on weekends, so it could be on their end and not the resellers. I notice it because I play online games. I would get internet from them directly, if it gets bad you can call them and they eventually fix it. (But be sure it will happen again lol)Moudimadi wroteHello, i have a problem. I'm having few request timed out when pinging to 8.8.8.8 . My internet is thru a reseller. He's taking from IDM. I always tell him there is a problem from your side. He's like no i dont have a problem. try another router. i did that. same. Requests to 8.8.8.8. On rush hours specially. What could be the problem? Not alot of requests but every 20 30 reply i get 1 request timed out. Anyone having that issue too? Thank you
Does farahnet have a website to check the quota?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been dealing with an annoying issue lately and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar or has advice.
My phone line keeps disconnecting, and I’ve had to replace the DSL splitter multiple times. Each one works for a few days, then either stops working completely or the connection gets unstable again. It’s starting to get both frustrating and expensive.
What’s weird is that sometimes the internet starts working again only after I call the landline from my mobile, like something gets reset in the system. The exact same issue happened on my second phone line too, which makes me suspect there's a voltage or power stability problem coming from the Ogero box itself.
Has anyone faced something like this? Could it be a faulty Ogero box or something with the external line? How can i get them to fix this issue?
