Would getting a new modem fix high ogero SNR issues?

In short I am suffering from high snr and (to a lesser extent) attenuation issues. I am getting around 23dB SNR on the incoming and 10dB for the outbound. with rare dips to 7dB on the outbound Attenuation is 23dB down and 39dB up. Should I get a new router or am I better off finding issues with the line? For reference I have the black ogero technicolor router (tg582n v2, board name VANT-U).

As far as I know, SNR is related to your phone line. While getting a new modem might help reduce noise due to newer and more efficient hardware, it most probably won't solve your issue.

What I would do is find the main phone box for Ogero in the building and see how long the wire is from the box to the location in the house. Then get a CAT6 cable and cut the same length and replace the wire.

If your SNR is now improved, it's probably from the copper lines within the area.

I suggest you contact Ogero before you start the project of replacing the wire.
