Re: Feedback for Ogero

A person from Ogero was in contact with me and he did several tests on my line like change international path and every time he got the feedback. They know there is a problem and they are working on it.

Here is where I got the full speed on single and multiple connection.

Whats-App-Image-2020-05-30-at-9-08-23-PM.jpg Whats-App-Image-2020-05-30-at-9-07-52-PM.jpg

This affects some apps on my laptop like updating the antivirus and windows update. The limit is around 8-10 Mbps.

So did he improve anything from his side or its still the same?

Technically i have no idea how they tackle such problems, but i find it weird they are taking all this time to solve it.
Is this normal?

Re: Feedback for Ogero

I just noticed this today in my Ogero account.

Screenshot-20200604-214252-01-01.jpg

The hidden left text is the phone number.
The hidden right text is DSL number.

But what's interesting is the FIBER in the middle.
Does this mean that my line is on the fiber network now?

Any of fiber options subscribers confirm this?

I don't think they changed anything. I didn't get back to him to ask as I have no power for that.

They know there is a problem and they should fix it.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

Hey guys. I got an ADSL/VDSL router from PcandParts and got the PPPoE credentials from Ogero. I put them into the router but I'm not getting internet access for some reason.

Are there any settings I should look to changing as well? Or should the credentials be enough?

The router is the Asus DSL-AC55U

I'm certain the credentials are correct

I tried 0/35 and 8/35. Same result.

Here are two settings pages for the router:

Re: Feedback for Ogero

In the administration page, what did you choose as DSL connection?
Edit: Never mind just saw the second screenshot
Edit2: I had a similar router/modem. I remember that i left the VPI/VCI at default values.

I tried all DSL connections.

And I followed ogero's instructions and used 0/35. Don't think the router lets me set default values as it immediately asks for those settings

Re: Feedback for Ogero

I have VDSL (not ADSL) so it is working just fine
I just checked, I reconnected the asus modem and it seems VDSL doesn't have those VPI/VCI values

My download speeds aren't exceeding 1MBps while watching.
And my connection is capable of 4.5MBps+.

Twitch and reddit are the most platforms I have problems with using.

So I'm back to Beirut, I made some scripts to compare network download speed using Ogero network and VPN.

Check the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0HoFF7wIrU

I'm in contact with Ogero support, hopefully they will log everything and rule out the issue.

Single connection speed locally is good :

To Europe, it's a different story :

https://i.gyazo.com/b1492ec6ad2fab4d76d … 96b616.png

However, with VPN

https://i.gyazo.com/ec26e9b04232a94bc4b … 94126d.png

I tried using Touch 4G hotspot and it's giving me excellent down speed to Europe as well.

Any update on that? did they try to fix it? or is it in place for consumption purposes?

Not fixed yet. No idea if they're working on it or not. They were surprised about it so I guess it isn't something they set on purpose.

Looks like the lockdown offer is still valid. It's showing 500GB/month ( 200GB previously)

This is bad.. I got used to the huge quota and now this!
A lot of people are still working remotely, they should have extended the offer, but as usual nothing nice in this country lasts.

Exactly, I still can't travel and I'm working remotely. It's disappointing to see it's back to what they call " normal ".

Even worse, they don't have offers for A/VDSL above 200GB, only for fiber which doesn't make sense at all.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

Hello, Any one in Dawhet Aramoun, central Khaldeh having high VDSL Speeds? Ogero installed me Vdsl while im not eligible for it. Since 3 or 4 months till now. I'm still having same speed as i used to get on Adsl. I talked to them they said you're far from the central. Even though we have a cabinet here in our region a big one. They said maybe you're not related to this cabinet. So what should i wait for? When will i reach high speeds on Vdsl? Mr,Imad kreidieh once said that Vdsl speeds can reach up to 80Mbit. I'm having 13 max. Should we wait for another active cabinet or what? Or they have to install fiber to this cabinet in our area so we could get more Vdsl  speed? Some explain please. Thank you.
