Microsoft Direct X 12 Ultimate

Too sad for RDNA 1.0 Owners (5700 /5700XT) remember when I told you that the  5700 /5700XT have a short ROI , and AMD sucked money from gamers pockets for a short lived product following the usual lack in technology trend as catch with me a two years later approach.

In the contrary Turing which was released 2 years ago starting with the entry   RTX 2060 has a better ROI & lifecycle. It  has RT cores for real time based rendering , direct x 12 ultimate is on the way & will be released November 2020. Support for ray tracing, mesh shaders, variable rate shading, and sampler feedback. GeForce RTX is the first and only PC platform with support for these game-changing features till now. Next RDNA 2 architecture from AMD & next gen consoles will support it. This API + Hardware accelerated Real time rendering ( with the 2060 RT cores) will make more efficient rendering & less performance hit.

Real Time Rendering is like HDR when it is was 1st implemented in games , many said it is a "gimmick" and now a lot of AAA titles support HDR 10 / Dolby Vision adding a new level of realism ( with a solid HDR 10 compatible screen sure starting from VESA HDR 400 certified displays & on). Here comes Real Time Rendering in the form of Real Time Ray Tracing to add another level of realism away from old rasterized canned rendering / cubic maps.

Too Sad #AMD users out there.
