terminal emulator

Hi. Can anyone recommend a terminal emulator that doesn't use vte but still has configurable font size and good font rendering?
I have xfce 4.14 and gnome 3.34 and somewhat frustrated with vte.
xterm and rxvt have terrible font rendering.

Re: terminal emulator

gnome-terminal and xfce4-terminal are based on gtk library called vte.

Re: terminal emulator

Well there is st which is really lightweight (a bit too much for my taste, but you can change the font), and there is qterminal.
Have a look at this:

Re: terminal emulator

I settled on Alacritty. It's GPU accelerated. Scrolling is very fast.
