Re: Macworld 2008 SF

Personally I'm disappointed in the price tag. As a student, it's quite an interesting notebook but the MBA is not quite affordable (as compared to the Macbook)

Re: Macworld 2008 SF

In my opinion. This was the worst release to date.
The Macbook Air is cool, and thin. But wow...how money hungry can you get. No ethernet. Buy the USB adapter one. No CD/DVD bay. I mean, come on. Buy another one for an extra $100. And the hard drive, to upgrade to SSD is I forget how much.

I was very disappointed in this crap-ass release. And for the itouch upgrades. They came at a price of $20. Seriously...this company is falling down the drain for me. I don't think my next purchase will be an Apple. I can't deal with this crap anymore.

The only thing I liked and think is worth the price is the "Time Capsule." Very Very useful for the new Leopard. Which still IMO needs some serious work.

And finally, they did the 8800GT upgrade for the new Mac Pro's. So if you bought one last week, you're totally screwed until they come out with a solution. This company...not for me anymore. I've spent too much money getting screwed over when a jack-ass kid with an ipod or iphone gets more respect than me. Screw that!

If you got your touch after January 1st, you should still be within the window of Apple's price protection, meaning Apple's standard policy for this stuff should allow you to update your touch apps and apply for a credit back on the $20 levy. The Apple mothership didn't yet confirm. http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/17/ipod … s-are-fre/

Re: Macworld 2008 SF

Not confirmed yet. And that's IF you bought it after Jan 1st.

Yeah, I read that on MacRumors as well...it's hilarious. Still pisses me off though. Apple has been doing jack-shit for the MacPro line since it's come out as "upgradable." Aside from putting more RAM, HDD, Processor (Sometimes). You can't do jack with the graphics card. I've put mine on hold for that single reason. Waiting for them to upgrade to the current graphics cards. But I'm done waiting...I give up on being screwed.

Like the new MacBooks. What was wrong with the old design of independent video? Noo!!! Now they go and give us SHARED Video Ram. That's so BULLSHIT. It doesn't even run all that well, why doesn't Steve Jobs reply on that one. You get more VideoRAM when you install Windows on your MacBook than on OS X.

Re: Macworld 2008 SF

The reply to that is huge and strenous...software/hardware compatability. The packages, blah blah blah. And so on...hehe...but I've finally agreed that no more Mac's for me as well. I'm not too pleased with the latest releases...and I've owned 3 before. hehe...Alienware for me I think.

karim soubra Are you an Official Distributer, or are you working on your own? Do you have a store in Lebanon? Or are you working from some other country? Software? Hardware Repair? The list goes on :)
