need advice about fixing or buying a new or used laptop

money is a little bit tight, and yesterday my laptop died with the same issue i had fixed exactly one year ago its an 2014 toshiba with an ssd, 8gb of ram and an i5 4th generation processor. now here's the dilemma should i try and fix it again for around 100000 ll or buy a new very cheap one (any recommendation) or buy an old one and transfer the ram (2 sticks of 4gb ddr3) and the ssd (if yes where can i buy a used laptop ) i only use my laptop for internet surfing and programming

Unfortunately, Toshiba laptops are known for their short lifetimes.
First of all, does it absolutely need to be a laptop? You can get a new corei5 skylake with 8GB of ram for around 350 USD (Less if used). It will also be better for programming especially if you are compiling large projects. A laptop will suffer overheating.

Im a Toshiba laptop certified support engineer and I tell you to get a cheap brand like Lenovo for 400$ it will last longer ...dont repair it
