Why is upload speed only 1Mbps ?

My 2 cousins have open speed Ogero subscriptions , both have a 10+mbps down speed but only 1mbps up . Why is that ? Can we contact Ogero for alittle more upload speed ? Well not only Ogero , but I notice from any ISP , the upload speed is never morethan 1.5mbps .. How do some people on Facebook stream their games ?

They have VDSL, fiber or some microwave connection. Otherwise you wont get more than 1 mbps on the average Adsl connection (except in rare scenarios).

You can get "HDSL" from Ogero it's symmetrical and more than 1mbps uplink but I forgot exactly how much.

Also 4G LTE "mobile internet" connections will have much more than 1mbps upllink speep.

Usually, ISPs provide connections with higher download than upload capacity. It's called asymmetrical connection.
The reason being that the connection is optimized for typical, most common internet activities such as watching videos and browsing sites, which use much more download than upload.
