Android gmail app

Hello!
I recently switched to the gmail app for all my email addresses on android, it is excellen.However there's an annoying thing about it, when i get links in email it doesn't read it as hyperlink so i cannot click it, i have to copy it and paste it... Any ideas? is it a safety measurement that can be disabled ?
