Diesel/Gasoline Generators with Inverters

Hey all,
Any idea where to find such configuration as described in title?
I'm primarily interested in Inverter based ones for cleaner power delivery and high surge power capability (starting AC compressor), and much less fuel consumption/noise. (Variable engine speed)
It would be nice to have something similar to a Honda 2000i or similar portable Inverter generators.

Re: Diesel/Gasoline Generators with Inverters

Unfortunately I couldn't find any in most stores, I might just take a lawnmower engine and brushelss car alternator along with a battery to 220v AC Inverter from ekt and build it myself.
Possible configuration:
-6.5hp gasoline 4/2 stroke engine
- 200amp GM truck alternator from scrap @14.5v
-2000watt Inverter with 6000w peak 12v input
-12v Marine battery as a buffer
Probably hookup Arduino for controlling throttle on current load, although stalls are highly unlikely with a battery in parallel, so that's not really necessary except for lowering rpm when there is no load to save fuel as a bonus compared to conventional generators.
Surprisingly I have spotted couple of generators with a similar gasoline engine as my lawnmower. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

No idea but less consumption and noise sounds really good, i wish everyone would do this.

I'm contemplating about choosing gasoline over diesel, would a diesel engine last with Lebanse Diesel or mazoot? Thanks

Since this is intended to use for AC heat pump heating in emergency when there is no electricity I've decided to get a 200kg LPG Gas tank and multiple small 10kg tanks (that are recharged from the 200kg) for heating instead. For TV/router a battery bank enough for 5 days uptime, probably integrate solar later on.
