So I got this SMS from the Ministry of Economy yesterday, 2 people I know did as well. It promoted an App called Consumer Protection Lebanon where you can read the latest news and events and submit a complaint after you register.
As always (when looking at shady applications), I looked at the Permissions on the Play Store.
Device & App History (what apps are running)
Location (GPS, which I thought, okay, maybe to send the location of the complaint, but doesn't look like it from what I can tell)
Device ID & Call Info (reading your network status and your ID, which is forced because you allow the app to make phone calls, probably to call the hotline)
So am I being paranoid, because man oh man are there a bunch of complaints that I would like to file.

you can always file complaints from their site, no need for the mobile app: New Ticket
