Slow browsing

Dear Geeks,

I recently purchased a new laptop and its an i7 with i7-7500U 2.7Ghz to 3.5Ghz and 8GB RAM (windows 10). The problem is when I try to visit a website like dailystar to read the news, the ads that popup slow down my laptop a lot and if I want to scroll down through the page, it lags a lot. I never had this problem on my older windows 8 latpop, and this happens on all the websites I visit with ads.

Any fix?

Thanks.

Re: Slow browsing

Which browser?  If you are using FF or Chrome (maybe Opera), install ad-block.  If you are using edge/explorer, edit your hosts file to limit some of the advertising.  You may also have some bloated spy ware on your laptop--go through and try to get rid of any suspected programs you may not need and that may also help.

THANK YOU!

1) I ran a scan - no infections.
2) Installed AdBlock for Chrome and everything is smooth again :)
