When it first came out, I didn't buy it because of the bad reviews...
But since then, several patches considerably improved the game (Specially the latest Patch 1.5)! Just check the User reviews on Steam for instance:
RECENT:     Very Positive (3,239 reviews)
OVERALL: Mixed (33,516 reviews)

I really loved the setup so far... Specially that Black Friday just ended and the Christmas season is just starting.. so it's THE time to really dive into that game!

After-all any game end up being repetitive. I think the new patches, as it seems, are making a good job to improve it...
