hello fellow geeks
let's take this scenario :
a user has several websites and apps or programs that he need to access .
several of these have ID and password to login
is there a password manager that works also on apps and programs ? and can the passwords contained in the password manager be kept a secret for the user ?

I don't want him to know the ID and password
if you're using mac, you can easily do that using keychain access. you can create another keychain, set your credentials, and lock the keychain with a password (which you don't give him)

no windows 7 in a server2008 r2 environment
I think LastPass premium / Enterprise would work for you.

how is that?

i tried several password managers .. if the user has the main vault pass he can see the password
i am trying to forbid him from seeing the password ..any idea ?
NuclearVision wroteBasically you're using password storage and not password managers.
Try this: http://www.roboform.com
i will explain more :

X is a user in a domain contoso.local
X log into several websites using different ID and password for each

Y is an admin in contoso.local
Y changed the passwords of X
Y wants the passwords of X to remain a secret but allow X to log into the websites
Y can input the ID and passwords once for X to be saved in a vault of some kind
NuclearVision wroteI got it :)
Try robowhatever

In RoboForm, navigate to Options menu and select “Security” tab.
Select “Dual Password (Employee\Supervisor) Protection and Click “Set Master Password. Mass protect/unprotect…”

On the next screen, you will be required to “Set a new Master Password”, let’s use “RockPaperScissors123”.
Dual password, requires a “\” to be placed in the middle of it to brake it into two parts (employee\supervisor).
First part of the password “Rock” will allow recipient user to use the passcard.
Second part “PaperScissors123” is known only to you, and is required to view or edit the login information within the passcard.
Remember to hit “Protect All” and click Next. RoboForm will re-encrypt all your information with the new password format.
