Reset an IPhone 6

Hello, about a year ago my phone broke and i just got it fixed. It restarted and now it's asking me for my old apple ID and password but i forgot them because i made a new one. And I can't use it without my old one so is there a way to reset it so it asks for a new apple ID and not the old one just like how you buy one from the shop. I found something on google called DFU mode does that help? I don't mind jailbreaking it if it works. or maybe a technique that thieves use to reset it.

I don't wanna try anything stupid without your opinions.

Basically dfu mode will put your phone to update mode, you update it, it opens up, and asks for the same apple id again.
Tip: Try to remember your old password, use the associated email to reset it.
