using a linux laptop as airplay mirror

Hello everyone!

Recently i found the airplay mirroring idea interesting and thought i could stack up the right software for it!
I won't buy an apple tv obviously, as i have an old laptop lying around and thought i could use it.
the hdtv-laptop connection is prepared and both ios and laptop will be on the same network.
so the thing is i need help in setting up the airplay server, the laptop is nothing fancy so running a big distro in parallel to airserver will not give the best results.
i need a light distro with airplay server so the laptop would process the graphics in a healthy way.
My last shot will be installing android kitkat in dual boot mode, installing refelector (an app with airplay server), but i don't know if i can output my screen to tv while using android.

kudos for everyone willing to help!
