lucky you i hope i receive the same sms from idm soon!
I heard rumors that Ogero is starting to implement fiber optic cables in Beirut so we could have up to 100mb/s in 6 to 8 months!
Tried the 4mb/s today...WoW!
Download speed reached 440k/s with torrents :)

Which CO?
anyone noticed 30 ms increase in ping ?
After 11pm download speed is ridiculously 20 to 30kb/s in direct link downloads (didn't try with accelerator) torrents speed are half the max speed meaning 220k/s instead of 440k/s.
I wonder if its because of local bandwidth due to free download after 11pm or lebanese isp make things slower because its free quotas!!
This is pretty much outrageous, my friend sent all the paper needed to sign up with Cyberia, it's been 4 months now and no internet came to him, we keep on calling them and they keep on saying "It's on Ogero's side, we sent it to the CO and they still haven't done anything".

What can I do to it? They keep on saying rescheduling since month 2.
You need wasta. A friend of mine got internet in a couple of weeks, he had relatives inside.
I got my internet in a week or two, but my friend is in the 4th month and counting - I don't have any kind of wasta, any ideas?
Talk to them, with high tone. That's the only way. Make them think you will get the issue to managers.

Every time I speak with them, they tell me that "everything was sent to Ogero, we can't help you, it's from Ogero's side and it's their fault of you waiting".

So I called Ogero and they started cursing at Cyberia, they're ruining their reputation and there's nothing wrong from Ogero's side, they're not even responsible from what is actually happening, what Cyberia does is buys servers off them and that's it pretty much.
I Have two apartments and one office so i experienced the major Lebanese internet provider:
the below points are given according to sales services, after sales support, internet speed and credibility
IDM and Cyberia Same Company: 4/10
Terranet: 5/10
Mobi: 5/10
Sodetel: 7/10
Wise (moscanet sal): 8/10
Still can't fix the torrent download thingy, I tried limiting upload as down as 15k/s and download 380 instead of 440 but it still block all other internet use(browsing, android apps...).
Like if it closes all ports and let only the torrent port open, direct link downloads are also slowed down up to 30min after I close the torrent client!!!
It's like a huge power sucker :(
The upload and download rate aren't the bottleneck, vegetaleb.
What slows you down in this case is the number of open connections and even after you finish the download and stop seeding, many of those remote IP addresses will still be poking at your connection (hence the 30 minute slow down you are seeing).
Try limiting the number of peers (if the torrent client supports that) gradually till you reach a number that doesn't cause the bottleneck.
