Nokia brings the power of Apache to cellphones

In what is truly an interesting development for all die-hard Apache fans (count me in), Nokia has managed to port the Apache webserver, the most widely used web server in the world to the Symbian OS, which is the industry standard operating system for smartphones. What this means, in simple terms, is that you can now host a website on your mobile phone that is accessible from any web browser connected to the Internet.

ditto, but it is quite interesting that mobile phone manufacturers are taking interest in open-source applications.
