Anybody knows if the Sassine central can give 6mbs??

Anyone got the speed upgrade?

I applied for the 6mb upgrade at the beginning of the month,the cybergirl (cyberia girl) told me to see if the speed is upgraded in the last week of this month or if the plan is 6mb instead of 2mb in the cyberia recharge website but it's still 2mb (even slower than never), I called the tech support and the dude told me that I should get the 6mb in the first day of August, but the Huge question I asked him was ''and which refill card should I buy???'' he said I should ask on the 1st day of the month if the 6mb is running or not!
I thought Cyberia cut your monthly connection if you don't refill before the first day of the new month, am I wrong??
I will call the sales depart tomorrow to have a clearer answer

Yeah the support guy told me the same thing , we have to wait until the start of august because as he said (ogero didn't provide them with paperwork they need) whatever that means.
They won't cut your connection untill 3 pm of the first day so you have sometime to get a clear answer then

please update us on what the sales tell you tomorrow

Called the sales yesterday, they still stick to the fact that we will get an sms by the end of the month to tell us if the 6mb is working or not,it can even be on the 31 july,but if we dont receive an sms or see the 6mb in the recharge website then we should call to avoid losing a month,he is sure that if the central is not far then it will work

My plan is still 2MB on the recharge website and when I call them they tell me to wait till the first day of the month , honestly I don't think anything will change these couple days especially that it's a holyday

Yeah I dont expect a change before the 30th,I will call them on the last 2 days till I get a final answer,I am in the mountain now and I will be obliged to go to Beirut for the recharging process,they dont have 6mb cards here

Still 2mb unlimited in the website and no sms, I will definitely call them tomorrow,all other isp gave the upgrades already,why is cyberia always so late?

Edit: I could finally talk with the sales, the told me to hold my horses as they didnt get any answers from the test,they even said the tech guy is a lier (huge lol), they still pretend we will have an sms before the 1st august, expect huge busy lines at cyberia the coming 2 days as many people will not have 6mb and will want 4mb

Aren't you supposed to go to Hamra and pay for the switch though? They can explain to you there.

Dude if you read our posts you will see we did it 3 weeks ago already,btw I received an sms to recharge my adsl but no word of the speed

I had my sn margin drop alot when they changed me to adsl2+ and the internet was unusable but my modem was faulty , when I tried a new modem the sn margin increased alot , this may not be the case for you

Try to troubleshoot by disconnecting the phones and trying another phone socket , then call cyberia and tell them about your case ( tell them that you got switched to adsl2+ , the support guys are stupid and will not know why your sn margin dropped)

I am passing summer in the mountain , I dunno if adsl is droping in achrafieh but last month I had to restart my modem 3 times and got no internet for an hour twice
I am nearly convinced cyberia sales doesnt want to say 6mb will not work with our lines before the 1st august so we dont switch to ogero or other isp before another month.
Damn when you know they have 100mbs in Europe we still dont have 6mb lines in the capital

I think the issue is that there probably isn't enough bandwidth going into Lebanon to give many people speeds above 2Mbit. A large portion of Lebanon's capacity probably already goes to large corporations and universities.

All the previous ministers of comms should have think long term and invest more in central capacities instead of buying their 3rd villa and 5th Mercedes
