The same thing happened to me after the upgrade, seems everyones account was opened to have 2M rather than 1M, and ogero still didn't complete its implementation to IDM. That's why our speeds are dropping below 1M and sometimes above. I really don't have any other explanation for what's happening.

They probably increased the voltage at the CO which might explain the increased SNR. Keep monitoring your line.. As for the connection i think everyone is having instability...

my "maximum bandwith" dropped today from 5000 to 2000 kbps and bandwith dropped from 2200 to 1900 kbps. Speed is 120kb/s using internet download manager.

2:00 am ----> 8:00 am : 180 kb/s download speed
8:00 am -----> 3:00 - 4:00 pm : 50 kb/s
4:00 pm ----> 11:00 pm : 10 - 20 kb/s
11:00 pm ---> 2:00 am : 50 kb/s
This is a rough estimate. And it doesn't seem to change according to bandwidth downloaded by day. Been testing it for four days. First two days with heavy downloading, second two days with practically no consumption.

KFC, they may be "upgrading" your CO.. I have a very unstable connection since the first of July and the stats are changing.
my speed is always very low like 30 kb/s when i dont use internet download manager. with internet download manager it is much much better but sometimes it fluctuates alot between 100 and 220kb/s. yesterday i downloaded at 6pm 2.5 GB at a constant speed of 200-220 kb/s using internet download manager.---()--()--- wroteOii.

I called the lousy company and after an hour of holding and trying to reach someone they tell me I m FUP d for the whole month with no way of changing my plan till the end of the month . I ve been wanting to leave IDM for a while now because of the stupid support and unreliability . Now they made my decision clearer

i am on 2mbps/40gb and DL speed hasnt exceeded 1 mbps in last 2 days even in the morning...
I just got off the phone with them because my speed is 1M too. They told me that at first they gave everyone the 2M eventhough ogero didn't complete its upgrade, but after 2 days (I think on thursday) they were forced to cancel this decision. That's why our speeds are back 1M.

What kind of "upgrade" does ogero need to do? Does it have to do with equipment at the CO or just upgrading their own customers?

My problem with IDM is a different one. I am currently subscribed to the 4 Mbps plan since years now and the connection was working properly. However, since the beginning of this month,I am having frequent disconnections. The situation got worse since yesterday, I am offline most of the time, the modem is trying to synchronize every few minutes. Etc... The sn margin is fluctuating a lot, sometimes it is in the upper 30/11 as normal,then it decreases to 20/2 and so on.
The modem is the new technicolor from IDM (i tried 2 different modems too), I changed the filters, I removed my phone completely, no handy phone is attached and it is all the same.
I tried calling them but the line is always busy!

Did you check the SNR margin?it will be fluctuating a lot and affecting the advertised speed
