Joe I don't know what you mean by "enterprise", but we use ClamAV on our production servers. I don't think there's a Windows version though.
Tarek I meant an antivirus with server/client capabilities : centralized management , single server update , centralized deployment , etc .
rolf I used to have Norton Antivirus Entreprise edition take car of all that: centralized management, centralized update all through the Antivirus server. But that was like 10 years ago... I wouldn't be surprized if they still have that product though. I'm not that much into IT anymore, and wasn't willing to invest the little time needed to keep that thing working in the last period of my "IT manager" days.
khatib1 http://www.kaspersky.com/small_office_security They have centralized management but I am not sure about the single server update
Tarek I am a bit defender fan but I was looking at this : http://www.threattracksecurity.com/business-antivirus/vipre-premium-virus-protection.aspx I had Symantec antivirus but I hated it so much ..
d3ad I have been using Mcafee Endpoint Protection for a while now, Costs reasonable and comes with centralized management. Has A/V, Antispam (with exchange integration), DLP, IPS, web protection etc etc, costs around 700$ for 26 computers, renewal is around 300$ next for the 2nd year.
ironman @Tarek, was thinking the same until i read this... http://www.overclock.net/t/1431564/htg-goodbye-microsoft-security-essentials-microsoft-recommends-you-use-a-third-party-antivirus/180
ironman Microsoft now is recommending third party antivirus solutions, and is not focusing anymore on MSE, of course its still efficient, but not as before. i have an experience with trend micro worry free business security, and Mc Affee EPO, of course i recommend trend micro, because McAffee is VERY heavy on CPU's. Thanks
