Need A Joystick

All of a sudden i fell in love with simulator games such as "Lock On" and "Falcon 4:Allied Force". I really do need a good Joystick(looking for a microsoft or logitech) with force feedback ..

So far I cant find one , does anyone know a good (joystick) hardware store ..

I looked at pcandparts and they dont seem to have any(the ones they have do not support Force Feedback)..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated ... Thanks

Re: Need A Joystick

if you want to use a joystick with an old game plug (that is not USB) you can buy a sound card from pcandparts that contains a game port at 15$. I'm gonna do that to use my old joysticks instead of buying new ones... haram my friend also has this joystick designed after the controls of the F-16 ... haram to throw it away :)
It will also give me an additional audio output, useful when using traktor DJ to mix music: one output for music and one output for headphones preview.

Re: Need A Joystick

Hey about simulators I love MS flight simulator, I checked out the cockpits in FS 2004 and cockpit pictures on the site aviation.net man IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME COCKPIT... everything is in the right place... basically you're flying the real thing. Of course a lot of things get simplified, like you dont have like a 10-step procedure to turn on the plane, and you wont get like the light that goes on when someon smokes in the bathroom or temperature indicators in the cargo area etc...
But still the basic controls are the same.

Re: Need A Joystick

OK since this is a geek forum I think this would be a more appropriate picture:

This is the cockpit of the new a380 nicknamed "whalejet" by plane geeks. It's the huge plane that you can see in the previous picture. It can take up to 800 passengers in some configurations.

Check out the retractable keyboard with touchpad :)  The big lcds with the blue background are for navigation, they display maps, etc... also check out the tail view of the plane on the central display.

Do you know how the different electronic components of this plane are connected? Ehternet! Yeah that's right, 10/100 ethernet, IP, and UDP! Actually it's a slightly enhanced version of ethernet for real-time use, they call it "avionics ethernet". It turned out to be the cheapest and most reliable solution.

and that's another more complete (wider angle) photo of the cockpit:
