Re: Post your rig

My System :

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500, clocked  @ 3.3 GHz, 6mb cache
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Pro B3 revision
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance  clocked @ 1600 MHz, with timings 9-9-9-24
Graphics card: MSI Radeon HD 7950 with core clocked @ 880 MHz and memory @ 1250 MHz
Secondary graphics : Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 with core clocked @ 900 MHz and memory @ 1050 MHz ( Obviously not for Crossfire purposes, I use this for Folding@Home )
Case: Coolermaster Cosmos II Ultra tower
Sound: No idea (On-Board)
Optical Drive: Pioneer 24X DVDRW
Boot Drive: 256 GB SSD Crucial M4 RAID 0 array ( 2 x 128 GB Crucial M4 in RAID 0 )
Storage: Hitachi 1TB, 7200 RPM , 16MB cache
Secondary storage: Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB, 5900 RPM, 64MB cache
Third storage drive : Western Digital Green 3TB, 5400 RPM, 64 MB cache
CPU Cooler: Stock Intel retarded cooler
PSU: XFX core series 850W
Primary monitor : Samsung Sync Master PX2370 23" LED 1920x1080 resolution
Secondary monitor : Acer S201HL 21" LED 1600x900 resolution

Third monitor : Viewsonic VA1918wm 19" LCD 1440x900 resolution ( Monitors are not for Eyefinity or something like that, just for bigger working space on desktop )
Keyboard : Razer Lycosa backlit programmable keyboard ( Non mechanical )
Mouse : Razer Abyssus 3500DPI ( pretty impressive for being a low end gaming mouse ! )
Mouse Mat : SteelSeries QCK+
UPS: PCE 2000VA offline UPS
Sound output(s) : Logitech G930 wireless headset
Sony stereo ( No idea what model number and too lazy to check but it's very old )

Upgrades to be done :
1 ) GET A DESK !  ( for very obvious reasons ... look at the pictures )
2 ) Get better fans for the case
3 ) Get an unlocked CPU instead of my 2500, if anyone wishes to trade I am more than pleased to undergo the transaction  ( I will pay the difference  )
4 ) Switch the two monitors I have with 2370s and actually utilize Eyefinity as it is supposed to be ( With current monitor configuration it is very retarded )
5 ) CPU cooler
6 ) Don't really need it but maybe get a decent sound card with a Sennheiser HD 598 ( Shant.. cough cough )

Anyway here is the thing :

@MrClass about the Red Neon lights you have.
They are not Cold cathodes right? their strictly neon?
If so, where did you get it from? and how much did it cost you?

And, you did not mention whats your keyboard!

I think they are both neon cold cathodes? Not sure; anyway this is it: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/product/a … nsound.asp

You can find them at PC&Parts, link: http://www.pcandparts.com/must.htm

The keyboard is a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 (thinking of changing to a mechanical keyboard). The removable numpad though is quite a nice option, very handy in DOTA

lol well even if i saw a better picture (its a bit blurry), chances are i would still not recognize it. i dont think i have played dota 1 or 2 for that matter. i was never a big fan :)
one of my friends back when i was still in university would spend countless hours at a local network gaming place playing dota.

Hehe thanks!
Admittedly the pc looked better and cleaner when i had a corsair H60 as a cpu cooler. But i wanted absolute silence on the rig and so went with this massive heatsink. All in one coolers will always have that extra pump noise..

Re: Post your rig

i'll see if i can tidy up a bit a post a few pics.
Yh, i have 2x(4x2TB) RAID 1, but one of the NAS died. replacing it soon.
As for the UPS, if i remember correctly it's built in 6 12V sealed batteries, lasts around 4min @ full load. never needed it to last longer  Cost around 550$ i think.

Exactly! :)

@Khaled and MrClass

I see that you are both running SSD's in raid 0. Aren't you concerned about the  lack of TRIM support in raid? Also aren't you basically hitting the limit of SATA3, so not really gaining all that much from your set up? just curious to get your takes on it.

I appreciate your concern, BUT!

Intel's Z77 chipset is the first chipset to support TRIM and RAID 0; so yes I have trim enabled. Also the Z77 chipset supports SATA 6G, so the extra performance is actually not lost; I am using it fully. With my current RAID 0 setup, the volume has a read speed of 920MB/s and a write speed of 450MB/s (blazing speeds, 10-second boot time  )
