AMD 3500 vs Intel pentium D 2.8

The title said it all
Which one should I choose for my next upgrade?
the 2 are 64 bit
and are at similar price = 300$ before the termium(I count on the termium to have better prices)
also will my actual ddr rams of my P4  work on the new motherboards?
same question for the case

pretty hard to choose but i would go for the amd on the account that you can upgrade it easily in the future
i don't see why not your ram wont work with amd (it depends on the motherboard)
as for youre case it also depends on the motherboard but i think it wouldn't be a problem

I would go for AMD, just because I'm sick of the p4 overheating... but I'm no expert, I haven't been following this stuff.

So much better things to do :) (like watch TV ;) )

On the other hand I'd try to get a board that supports DDR-2 533. I dont know if there is an AMD board that does, but if not, I think they will in the near future.

Also what pissed me off is that I have to change my gfx card because new intel boards don't take agp cards,I think amd ones are mixed.
Also my geforce agp has vivo and the cheapest pci express card with vivo is at 450$
