it's about 1.5 times the US price (rough, very rough estimate)

There is Interlinks in Freeway Center, sinn el fil. Its next to the back entrance.
You could have good prices on pcandparts... but apparently they dont sell macbooks anymore.

Well if windows 7 is a fail(which i think it will ><), my next laptop might be a mac or one with linux, some OEMs have started distributing ubuntu as the standard OS in their desktops and laptops, but ubuntu still have many shortcomings in the mediacentric side, so if they add more support to their media applications, ubuntu will surely be my main OS, ubuntu 8.10 is the most succesful OS now for internet-centric applications except for flash related stuff(blame adobe ), i can see those problems fixed in the next releases, i'll keep trying every release until they get it perfectly...

Man the problem with apple prices in Lebanon is that they are exclusive and their products are proprietary, which was the case with Sony few years ago but now it changed, let's hope Apple will be the same in a few years :)
They allow their distributor to make tons of cash this way especially in Lebanon

Apple prices are expensive everywhere really. It's a fun computer to use, but I think should only be purchased if you really need it (are a typographer). Especially in the Middle East since support is pretty much non existent, no matter where you are. Steve Jobs hates this area and everyone in the Apple industry knows this.
