Lebanese Drivers License as International License?

Hello,

I was wondering if I can update my old drivers license to the new one in order to drive/rent cars in Germany, without having to purchase an international drivers license.

And if that's possible, how fast can the process be done? (What are the needed papers, etc?)

I've used the new license to rent a car in the US. It works since it mentions the name written in Latin characters. However I strongly recommend you check with the company you're planning to rent your car from, as some will still request an international driver's license (which is simply a translation of your current license). To get it done if I recall correctly you don't need any papers just your old license and a fee (70,000 LBP or around that). Done at Nef3a of course.
