Phone in my luggage without paying customs?

Hey guys,

Any idea if I wanna bring a phone in its box as a present for someone, can I just put it in my luggage, or will I have to pay customs, or is it better to unbox it and pretend it's my phone?

but you should know that it will lock in 90 days if you dont pay the customs so the IMEI gets registered and then you can use it without any limits

unless it's a oneplus or a google phone, those are not in the database
