Job hunting service serving affiliate marketing ads through email

I need the level headed feedback of this community.
Am I unreasonable to be angry at HireLebanese serving affiliate ads through the same email subscription that is supposed to notify me of Job opportunities?

Some people might find my language highly offensive, but I consider this practice to be extremely exploitative of a demographic that is desperate.

Context: I am currently employed, but I am looking for better opportunities.

Re: Job hunting service serving affiliate marketing ads through email

I kind of the miss the job ads section in newspapers in the 90s and early 2000s so I understand how internet services have reach extreme limits.
On the other hand, hirelebanese is one of the few websites that are not plagued by fake ads or "mandoob mabi3at" ads so they are actually helping.

Having said that, I understand your frustration while looking to improve yourself and find better opportunities. Jobs don't fall from the sky like they did 20 years ago. However, name calling is never the answer.

My only question is, why are other services sustaining themselves by simply charging employers for access to their Jobseeker database? why are HireLebanese any different? either their Database is worthless to employers, or they are simply being greedy and exploiting an email list that did not opt-in for commercial Ads.

Don't count on employers looking at your profile on their own. That'll only happen on Linkedin. Just look at the job ads every evening and apply to whatever fits.

Edit: replaced "of with "on"

I get angry at such things too, reasonable or not, I don't know. Understandable, yes.
The thing is, if you get angry at such thing, there is an unlimited amount of things to get mad about - and your life will be miserable (like mine often is, to be honest).
So how to deal with that?
One possibility is that you can just choose to ditch companies and people who do such things.
