Anyone working in Qatar?

Hello,

anyone is currently working in Doha, Qatar? and do you recommend it?
whats your experience, and how much do you think should be the package in order to work there.
for example a 5-6 K$ offer is worth it there ? (tech sales in software solution company)

I had a family member working there and his biggest complaint was that it was ungodly expensive---if you do go, make sure you include a generous housing allowance at least.  IIRC, everything there was really expensive except for utilities, gasoline and cars.  Also, the plane ticket from Doha to Beirut is about 5 times more expensive than it should be because Qatar airlines and MEA don't have many flights and they codeshare a few, so basically no competitions so, you will pay 3x or more the price than flying out of Dubai, especially at peak times near holidays.  Most packages include tickets, but just understand that if you wanted to buy it on your own to fly back here at a whim, you will be paying a lot for it.
