Temporal Filtering

I know that Rainbow 6 Siege uses temporal filtering option but Ubisoft imporved that and included that option in Watch Dogs 2. I know that temporal filtering divivde the resolution by half and upscale the picture with some algorithms (like checkerboard 1800p in PS4 Pro)  and adding 2x MSAA.

My Questions are:

What is the resndering resolution of 1440p  becomes when you apply Temporal Filtering?

What is the rendering resolution of 2160p  becomes when you apply Temporal Filtering ?

Nvidia Says it revolutionary step , frankly I used temporal filtering on / off for a 1440p resolution I didnot spot any difference in the image quality or the image quality downgraded.

Thank You .

Re: Temporal Filtering

is that TAA  you are speaking about , for honor another Ubi game  uses it and at 1440 the difference is fucking huge  when it comes to image quality

Re: Temporal Filtering

Temporal anti-aliasing (TAA)  which is a totally different thing ,

I like to use MSAA as a core AA method and SMAA for post processing.
