CNC Lab . As far as I know, CNC Lab always keeps the board and kits in stock.
As for alternatives for the Raspberry Pi, there's apparently the Orange Pi board but not a large community behind that. If you want a board with several shield boards to compliment it, give Arduino a shot. Also there are the boards issued by Sparkfun which can be integrated into any project revolving around Arduino or Raspberry Pi. As for community support, there are a lot of web support on the product pages as well as alot of tech blogs. But if you want physical support here in Lebanon, you can get that via our very own hackerspace
