Cracking the Android app "Cars numbers"

I recently cracked the lookups limit (you get only 3 lookups for free) with gameCIH, made it 9999, but forgot to save the int's ADDRESS..when i restarted the app, it was 0 and it's impossible to crack it again from my device..
Can someone with a rooted android phone -and who hasn't yet used this app- get that address please?
If you need help i'll post a tutorial about using GameCIH..
Cheerz..

Re: Cracking the Android app "Cars numbers"

flashing my phone and i will be on it in few minutes,i was trying to crack it by decompiling the apk and modifying it,but since gameCIH is working i will try it,but did it really work ? not changing the values,i mean did you get infinite tries ? since from what i understood after decompiling is that they use profiles based on imei and other phone info so this is why i didn't bother trying with GameCIH (since i supposed the number of credits you have would be already on their server so changing it on the phone wouldn't make a difference)

EDIT: worked, but like you said when restarting the app it was gone, but i got the address ! it is :41a97f08
but does gamecih support searching by address ?  since i couldn't find this option anywhere

Re: Cracking the Android app "Cars numbers"

Hey try this :)

"Removed Link"

I didn't make that a friend of mine did. so kudos to him

Edit: He was able to make the credit limit up to 10.000 && every time the app was launched again the Credits return to 10.000

However the app crashed since the amount of credits is stored on the server side.

Hello guys,

Don't bother yourself, it won't work ;)
A server side check was implemented since version 1.0.3, so no matter how many credits you change the variable to, it won't work, because your credits count is saved on server side.

BTW, GameCIH is a nice software, thank you for pointing it out ;)

Best regards,
LebDev Team.

Hi guys, is there a way to opt-out? Some of us have privacy concerns.

Hello,

You mean opt-out from "Cars numbers" as a user, or to opt-out your car number?

Isn't this app considered as a huge privacy breach?
I mean, why display the owner name, address, telephone?
Is this kind of apps legal in other countries?

No it isn't legal and yes it is a breach of privacy. That is why the one who made it and the one who leaked the database should be thrown in jail.

100% agree with you Ayman.
Not only they expose the privacy and security of all Lebanese, but they also make money out of it.
It is unbelievable!

Re: Cracking the Android app "Cars numbers"

@LebDev The very least you can do is to provide an online form to allow people with security concerns to opt-out their cars from the database. TrueCaller has that option too. Given that you're not just distributing our private info, you're selling it!

@LebDev I don't care if they're cracking your app, I am not supporting them either nor support cracking apps in general. What I care about is others invading my and other people's private information, that is being sold for your own benefit. Don't be rude and please do something about it.

@LebDev: Yes, use the old argument of: "somebody else is doing something wrong, it's alright if I do something wrong as well."

You don't really think that works, do you?

The app exposes all our private information and allows a lot of problems to occur.

We're talking about ruining somebody's life here.

You don't care about that, do you?

Opt-out my car number.

I don't think it's in their interest to care to include an opt-out system... It's like wondering if there is a way to get cleaner drugs from a street dealer. The less people in the database the less money they make.

@LebDev: Ayman and Samer didn't create this post so they're not the ones asking for a cracked version of this. I'm glad you're getting a good laugh out of this but this really is illegal. Sadly in a country like Lebanon that doesn't make any difference. Ironically the only thing that would not make you laugh is if someone would make a similar app available for free and frankly I don't think we're better off then.

Re: Cracking the Android app "Cars numbers"

For those concerned, i think you should probably report the application to the government. And see how hard they would laugh,
Before this application there was also an excel database that was leaked not sure if this app links to that database,
its such a pity how easy it is to be exposed in this country.

Isn't this app out of the store already?
I'd be more than happy on working on an exploit.

"as much as i know", (am not a developer), even if you get the apk you won't have access to the DB, because it used to be stored on a server and its removed now.

Bummer, any similar app available? My dad has an old car in his name, I want to know if it still exists and if it has any tickets on it.
