  • Thanks all for your kind answers.
Either shipping from abroad, or buying directly in USD, both have advantages and disadvantages, that's why I can't decide till now.
Questions for the guys with the shipping option and for everyone who would like to weigh in:
    - Does anyone have experience with Lebanese Customs? is there a way to calculate the ratio? is there any informative form/site/article online?
    - What laptop would you recommend for 700$ Budget (with a decent graphics card)?
    - I'm also waiting for the reply from the website onyourway.io that ships to Lebanon on the current situation if they are still in business, does anyone know other alternatives?

    Thank you all again.
  • Hello Lebgeeks,

You all know the current situation and the whole economical crisis and there is no need to add new info.

I live abroad, I want to buy for my younger brother (Lives in Lebanon) a Mid-range Laptop on a 700$ Budget, sure with powerful graphics card. Buying from sites like OLX is a catastrophe since everyone is defining their $ value. The sellers want somehow to benefit from the situation, even though they bought their laptops for 1$ = 1500L.L they are selling them for 1$ = 3000 and more.

    1) Is there any Online/actual reliable store that sells used laptops that accepts online payments like credit card/PayPal etc.. ?
    2) My other option is to buy one here and ship it through DHL, does anyone have a good experience with DHL? ( Shipping time, Customs, Taxes...)
3)The last option is to wait until "Reopening" the airport and bringing one during my visit. ( Least favorite option, since he is at home quarantine -no school)

Note: my plan was transferring the money through WU.

I would like to take your advice. Any recommendation/Input is appreciated.

    Edit: typo
  • would wrapping them with gift packages work? will it avoid customs?
do you know any other way, a technique to get over custom fees
  • I'm trying to ship some cloth as gifts to my family from Germany,

anyone knows about customs, prices, time.

preferably I'll be sending the package via DHL, I did some fast price comparison and DHL won.

However, I would like to know will it be customs on each and every item? or if it exceeds a predeclared number by them,
noting that the items are brands like Adidas, Puma, etc

Is it possible to remove price tags?

Anyone with previous experience might be really helpful.
  • Yes, Basically I need to access my friend's USB device over the internet, we both in different countries.
    Has anyone previous experience?
I tried some google search and it's not quite helpful.
I saw plenty of USB over ethernet or LAN,
so what I'm trying to do is making LAN over the Internet with Tunngle or something like this and then using such programs
anyone familiar with better ways or tips,
    I'd appreciate any help.

    adsl configure --snr xx

To understand more the value of XX, check the link below :

    http://www.increasebroadbandspeed.co.uk/SNR-tweak

basically you wanna reduce the SNR Margin ( not SNR ) in steps of 3dB. reduce and test stability. mine won't go below6 dB

I tried Kareem's Tutorial but with no luck, The error is that Invalid parameter.

My guess is that I haven't entered through configuration terminal since the command

    >adsl snr
    shows
------the table SNR per tones(carriers) of the interface ADSL2+-----

    Downstream Upstream
    168 266

    any tutorial for dummies?
    What's your router model ?

  • Just a small introduction to myself: I'm studying BA in the field of IT in Lebanese International University, seeking to continue my masters degree in Germany.
I've checked a website that facilitates school search and gives admirable results
but I got some further questions to guys who already passed through this.
is there any organization able to help with papers and stuff?
am I able to get acceptance regarding me getting the official transcript since I got one more semester in due?
is there any guy passed through all this and willing to help?
  • Thank you Bro *Worked Flawless*
  • GUYS how did you got the PPPoE username and password ?
  • Lets get directly to the point , we all face the problem where we cant change the ugly Technicolor Wireless Router that Ogero force customers to use.
By installing custom firmware that hides administrative privileges, user can't view or change PPPoE Username & Password and Blocked Telnet for non-Admins
for my case my Technicolor is *Dead* and it needs like month to replace it
    What shall we do

  • Yes gaming on 4G gives you better ping theoretically,
and I've experienced gaming on 3g and 4g in battlefield 4
where on 3g was about 110 ms and on 4g 80-91ms which is nice:)
as a conclusion you have to test it because it depends on many reasons , try the 100mb bundle and see if the result satisfies you

  • For a gaming pc you need to focus on graphic card , you choose the N750 which is terribly bad gpu.
if you have low budget go for Radeon, they offer great graphic cards for low prices , A Sapphire Radeon R9 270x would be a great choice for your extra 100$ which run Ultra graphics smoothly.
Moreover , for a gaming pc , of-course you need a Power Supply other than PSUs that come with Cases, PcandParts Offer Corsair CX600 W PSU 80 PLus Bronze for 90$
My advice to you to wait a little bit and get a Wonderful rig that you'll not edit after, wait for ssd and search inside stores for the dvdrw and ups (Usually their prices are lower than pc and parts)
  • mokhtar wroteWhen my Ogero Technicolor TG582n router's LAN ports got fried taking with it my XBox LAN port (not sure if the cause was lightning or some power surge) I got no love from ogero customer support. I needed to change my router.

Going through the forum I found some older posts about how to get the PPPoE username and password, but the techniques seemed outdated and no longer applicable presumably because of newer firmware. (Please update me if I'm wrong or point me to the right post)

So I found my own way. I wrote a tool (chrome app) for retrieving the account details, and would like to share it here:

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adsl-account-recovery-too/lnklpkbkkgbmhaaegjjdjcaafgfjgpbm
Can I use this tool to recover username and password , then hard reset my wireless router and then setup my custom SSID and password? or there is a tool to have login username and password "of the wireless router"
