Tried that on Windows 7 x64 and didn't work. Every time i reboot it goes back to custom instead of optimal.

Make Sure you checked "Modify All Network Adapters" after you selected the optimal radio button and selected apply ofc

I for one noticed a huge difference when i made this tweak because the download speed peak reached 31kb/sec while before it reached 26.58/k
while on night 2am~3am download speed reached 44-48kb/sec on a 256 connection
