  • mobile/cellular transmitter or passive antenna?

This is certainly not a cell tower. This is a part of a long range wireless private network. Where did you spot this ? and towards what is it aimed ?
could be a mobile/cellular transmitter.. because I have a friend in Abra(high saida) and on the top of the building he lives in there's an antenna like that on the roof.. he says it's for Alfa.. which I think is true caz I always have a perfect 5 bar connection even inside the building
I think mobile, it is sector antennas.
Long range usually at least parabolic, at worst panel, yagi and etc
It looks like FM radio broadcasting antennas.
if it is mobile/cellular:

how powerful will its broadcast be?

are we talking above or below 100 mv/m (millivolts per metre) within a 1-200 meter distance?

I am hoping that emissions here are very low!
this tower was found on a roof in Achrafie-Soufie, a few hundred meters from the park.

cant recall the direction the plates are facing...
These are VHF or UHF, could be TV transmitters, repeaters, or even FM radio. But certainly not a cell tower since they are placed up high and not pointing towards earth. and you specified its in achrafiyye.

Don't worry, they pose no threat to health :)
i am moving into the area there and wanted to make sure i wasnt moving into a "tower of doom".

hope you are right though others have suggested possible cellular transmission functionality.
I doubt, cellular communication relies on landlines from ogero to communicate between bases.

The cellular repeater is banned in lebanon. And its actually a small device.

They might be banned, but Alfa and MTC do have repeaters across Lebanon.
