hey there
have anyone had any encounters with dynamic dns vpn ? or even dynamic dns?
I was able to reach my modem ..or my OWA page via dyn dns but all my credentials didnt work ( even though they are correct )
I tried to dmz my forefront server but still the same ..
a month later
Hi tarek, i'm in the same situation

any developments since you posted this?

thanks
You need to enable access over wan on your modem side.
yeah i solved it using my forefront TMG server ...i can post the rules if someone is interrested
Yes please post what you came up with...I'm still wondering how to run an OpenVPN server behind a proxy...my VPN is working over local network, so no config issues.
weird..mine doesnt work over local network
what i came up are bunch of rules to enable vpn over Forefront tmg ( a firewall software )
what proxy are you talking about ?
i'm going to try dyndns with thte dyndns updater.

first i'll try to work directly with my FW which has integrated VPN

if it doesn't work

go with openVPN i've been reading that it work flawlessly with dynamic ip's

will keep you posted
i've registerd with dyndns, and put the info in the cyberia dsl router (tg585). but the router is being given a 10.0.xx.xx address which means i'm probably being NAT'ed by Cyberia, can anyone confirm this?

in other words cyberia does not provide a (dynamic) public ip

dp0001 This is exactly the problem I was describing...I am using OpenVPN too...works flawlessly over network...but I don't have a public IP. I'm behind a proxy. I'm subscribed to IDM, by the way.
please do an nslookup on your dynamic dns address and post the result

Reverse DNS: cf-res.cyberia.net.lb

lets say i have this address : harb-tek.dyndns-free.com hosted on the routed
when i do NSLOOKUP i get an ip ..lets say : 65.128.211.32

thats what i want to check
