apple-safari For some reason, my iPhone 4 won't go into landscape mode even though it is enabled! I bought the phone less than a year ago from the Mac Shop in ABC Achrafieh, and it's still under warranty. However, I've never come across a Lebanese store that would actually be loyal to the warranty. Everytime I used to go to a place to fix something, they'd tell me that it's not covered by the warranty, and I'd end up paying to fix it. So, now I'm going to restore my iPhone, but unfortunately, the firmware download needs 8 more hours. After that, I'm taking it to the shop in case the problem persists. I haven't dropped it or anything, so I'm sure that I'm not responsible for this fault. Anyone has any advice before I continue downloading the firmware. PS. I'm on iOS 4.3.1 and upgrading to 4.3.5 if that makes any difference. PSS. It seems to be a hardware issue with the accelerometer. I'm trying to play a game that uses the accelerometer, and it seems that the accelerometer is stuck all the way to the right side. If they can't get it fixed, would they replace it here in Lebanon? In the US at the Apple Store, they replaced my iPod Touch 3G with a new one when it had a hardware problem.
MaRsO0o hey buddy, to make sure that the landscape mode is enabled : 1. Double click the home button. 2. swipe to the left the lower bar. 3. on the left side you should see a circle shape arrow with a lock in the center - click it - and you shall be able to use both orientations, otherwise it's a hardware issue like you mentioned.
chosen2k 1st. If you want to jailbreak it, stick to firmware 4.3.3 because the jailbreak of a 4.3.5 is tethered. 2nd. Excuse me if it's obvious but is it possible that you locked the rotation? is there a small lock next to the battery on the top right ? 3rd. ???
apple-safari For some reason, my iPhone 4 won't go into landscape mode even though it is enabled! No, orientation is not locked.
ZuZ Goodluck getting them to fix it under the warranty. the iPhone isn't released officially in Lebanon so the mac shops here won't cover it
apple-safari Even if the warranty was provided to me by the same Mac Shop that I bought the iPhone from?
samer Apple Safari wroteEven if the warranty was provided to me by the same Mac Shop that I bought the iPhone from? It's an international warranty. It applies in all Apple Stores in the world (not Apple resellers).
