As I have moved back to a tower machine, I need some advice on providing the beast with uninterrupted juice.
What can money buy, what does it buy me, where to buy?

Can you site your system specs? Also we will need your pwer supply's wattage, and what will you conect t the UPS, i.e. will you connect monitor and speaker or just the case.
In any case the best brand is APC, but its scarse nd expensive, the good brand here in lebanon is without a doubt santac. You can find it anywhere, but ill say nino @ malla has the 600w and 1000w, 40$ and 73$ respectively.

450w?!?!? mmm i guess you have an h61 board? And your running on your monitor on the motherboard's vga. In anycase a 600w will suffice for about 15-20 min, but if you need an hour well you will have to get the 1000w...

I have this mobo: Intel DH67CL (DDR3) (LGA1155)
Am running on the GPU that's inside the i7. The adapter goes on the motherboard yes. I don't think this is a bad setup electricity wise.

I am looking for one with that can carry 750W. Beej my system has the same power draw as yours would you say the santac is a good psu the 1200VA one at nino. is it a brand i can rely on putting my 1600$ rigg on ? any answers would be really appreciated! :)

Yes it is... Its already on the desktop. It has 3 outlets so you can plug you speaker/case/monitor.
The most important thing in psu, is not how much can it run when the power goes out as we only need to turn the system off, but its the voltage regulations. Our electricity in lebanon is not 220v, its less, and its not stable it fluctuates alot. And the power circuitry in my house is messed up, i turn the light in my room and my parent's lamp turns on in the second room :P. Creeeeeepy lol
Also my microwave operates on its own :P...
