3D glasses and Games

Hi guys,

First time i post ,
i have been thinking about installing wireless 3d glasses and 3d monitors, have anyone tried it ?
does anyone have a list of games that are 3D ready , does it make diffrence or it is not worth it ????

Any recommendations??

hey rody watsup, i got the package for almost 400$, actually 400$ precisely. Samsung 2233rz i guess its 22" 1680x1050 and 3d vision glasses.
1st i must ask what are your system specs, second u have to know that nvidia 3d is inward not outward. Meaning you will see depth of stuff around you, what is far is far and what is near is near. And alot of times there are the "in ur face" objects.
So far i have tried call of duty series, devil may cry, resident evil, crysis series (including warhead and 2 needs to be patched 1st), bad company 2, company of heroes and the list goes on. All worked great ad fluent.
It does make a difference and its not a gimmik, BUT you have to try it,8 of my friends tried it 7 liked it and 1 of my friends got headachs fast and he needed to be on the lowest settings of depth (u can controle the depth of 3d via scrol in the back of the immiter).

Hi beej, thanks for the information, really helpfull , where didu get the hardware from ?
i have windows XP, hope that is not an issue
my hardware is E7500 / DG41RQ / 2GB / 1TB HDD / 9800GT ( VGA i have to upgrade of course )
any idea what is the cheapest VGA with 3D ?
which call of duty works with 3d ?? is playing it in 3D as fun, precise& instant as playing it normally ?

Hey Rody, no problem.
The bad news is that 3d vision only works with vista/win7, you have to upgrade.
Also my system specs are actually LOWER than yours. I have e5400/g31/2gram, but i have msi gtx 460 HAWK Tallons attack card, guess where i got it from :P. With your 9800gt gams will be "playable" but you will have hard time playing @ medium or high settings, let alone very high settings. COD i tried MW1 and Blackops.
The glasses/lcd i got them from pcandparts, my 460 i got it from Republic of Gamers store.
As i siad it is fun and u can turn it on/off inside the game. Remember your card will render every frame twice, and also enabling 3d forces V-sync so your framrate will cut in 1/2.
I suggest getting at least a 460, not the SE version, upgrading to win7 64 bit ofcourse, getting more ram will definitly help as we are on the edge here with 2g ram, and a psu.
But 3d in general is related to taste u might like it and say "WOW" or ur gna say "meh".

tnx beej, if i want to install windows 7 , is there any way not purchase the original one, i mean to find a version that does not requires activation and does not have any expiry period
i got one that was suppoed to be cracked but it required activation after one month

to upgrade to windows 7 without purchasing the original one the only solution is getting a pirated CD or DVD.

Hi ,
just got 3d lcd and wireless glasses, any idea if i can use the glasses while charging them, with usb cable connected ?
if fully charged how much time will they last ??
do i have enbale 3d inside the games also or it is automatic ???

Well first go to nvidia control panel and go to 3d vision tab, and activate 3d vision. It will guid you through a couple of tests to see if its working. After its completed, driver will automatically activate 3d when you open up a game. You can disable 3d by pressing he green eye on your IR reciever. It will deactivate it.

Well you can wait for a few hours...can you? :P
