yes i did check the link
but it has only 2 ram slots so the motherboard is only using a single channel, id it was using a dual channel esc would change at LEAST the color of one slot
and BTW MEgamer...ecs is only good for home use by my personal experience i use esc board for home users and use ASUS, Gigabyte for gamers
How is that logical? Why does it needs colors if it has only 2 slots? It's written IN the specifications "Dual-channel DDR3 memory architecture. Second thing, the memory controller is IN the CPU, and not on the motherboard. So the motherboard has to merely connect the slots via traces to the CPU memory controller (which is specified in the LGA1155 motherboard architecture anyways) and bingo, dual - channel. Single channel means the board would have two banks, and not one, making it more complex.
the motherboard indicates that it has dual channel but its slots are using only one channel
If has 2 channels but only 1 bank.
By comparison, most X58 boards have 3 channels and 2 banks. The foxconn bloodrage has 4 slots, meaning 1 bank can run in triple channel, and the 2nd in single channel. So everything would run single-channel or mixed.
