battikh wroteHow is it bad? It's actually very good!
In UAE, that's the pricing for 3.5G:
1GB - 40$
5GB - 80$
10GB - 107$
still doesn't compare to the prices in Europe(at least), to give an example, Orange(France Telecom) in Poland offers:
2.5GB - $13.5(+10 free SMS)
5GB - $20(+20 free SMS)
15GB - $27(+30 free SMS)
21GB - $33.8(+30 free SMS)
40GB - $54.3(+50 free SMS)
with the 5GB and above options, you get unlimited quota from 12AM to 8AM(and no it doesn't state anywhere that is there a "fair usage policy" of anysort)
also, if you run out of quota, you can recharge:
0.5GB - $3.4
1GB - $5
2GB -$6.8
the speeds are these are advertised as HSDPA(7.2mbit/s) but if you get the top-tier option(40GB) you'll get up to 42mbit/s (HSPA+DC)
also the mobile internet on phones is cheap there... it's no wonder I haven't seen a single person with a blackberry there lol, all with their own choices of phones communicating between each other :)
Siji wroteRaficoo wroteSiji wrotei have preliminary information concerning 3G prices and it's bad....20$ with 1 GB limit
given the fact that no official source(Government/Alfa/MTC/M.O.T) has provided anyone with a copy of upcoming prices this statement is just a rumor and can be deemed invalid.
i have a relative currently working on the 3G project and this information is valid and it's what they are considering but i don't think it is definite i guess we will have to wait and see...
ah Ok, i see :)
Well, I suppose 1GB for $20 ain't that bad.. but would this be for a 3GB USB dungle or plans for 3G on a mobile phone?
