AvoK95 sup guys, i got an Intel DH55HC motherboard with an i3 540 CPU currently i am looking for a new motherboard so that i can OC the hech out of my cpu but unfortunetally i can't find a motherboard that's 1156,SLI and with P55 chipset at a decent price in lebanon and i found out yesterday that the 1156 sockets have a burning problem of the socket so i thought for a while and decided to sell my motherboard and cpu and put some money ontop of it and upgrade to 1155 with an ASUS board do you think its worth upgrading to 1155?? and also how much do you think i can sell the CPU and the Motherboard? and will pc and parts buy it ? thanks in advance
yasamoka The Intel doesn't sell for much...but the Core i3 would sell for quite a bit...though I guess you'd have to sell it at 50-70% of its new price...what ASUS board are you planning to get, if you're going 1155?
AvoK95 i was planing on get ASUS P8P67 Pro B3 (REV.3.0) ATX (DDR3) (LGA1155) $235.00 from PC and Parts and get an i3 2100 but if i get the money maybe a 2500k(special order it) and ...do you think ill be able to sell my cpu for 100$ ?? with the motherboard for 190 or somthing ??
yasamoka A bit less for CPU, a lot less for the intel board. I mean, if you're selling it to a geek, then he's probably building his system from scratch and is short on cash, and if you're selling it to an inexperienced guy, he'd probably want a whole system with it. So I guess you can't sell it for much. Except if you build another system and sell it or something.
shant getting an i3 with that 235$ board would be unwise, getting a none unlocked version processor with that 235$ board would also be dumb, i say you can sell both for 200$
