Somewhat similar to what I was going to suggest. L7805 is a cheap chip by the way (0.6$ plus TVA at Katranji, but giving that you live in UAE, try any common electronics shop, I thing EKT does have a branch somewhere there). Make sure that the input voltage is higher than 7V, and use a 0.33 uF and 0.1 uF ceramic capacitors, at the input and the output pins respectively, to stabilize the DC output voltage (check it's datasheet
here).
