This Japanese dude stuffed a beer can with robotic guts, and controls it with a Wiimote. It even has a rolling mode for when it's placed flat on its side. The video includes a look at the insides.

On a side note, I have a question for robotics enthusiasts:
is it still a robot when it's remote-controlled? Way I see it, a robot has to be autonomous, at least mainly autonomous, to be called a robot. Otherwise it's a remote-controlled... device, thing. Like RC cars, except in a different shape.
Speaking of robots, this is my new one

I will talk about it in details soon :)

Your side note bassem is just the way i see it too. although there is a tendency to call complex remote controlled objects that do not specify as toys, robots.
According to Wikipedia, the diffiniton of robot is: A robot is a mechanical contraption which can perform tasks on its own, or with guidance.

So can a machine that is fully controlled by humans through a remote control called a robot? Or a robot should have some automation or maybe artificial intelligence?

I am asking, because people call any unmanned machine a robot, even in the news they do that...
There's a big dispute in the robotics world as to what classifies as a robot. Basically, any mechanical machine that is capable of performing tasks and executing decisions is a robot. A common definition is:
A machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically
but the official definition is:
Robot Institute of America, 1979 wroteA re-programmable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools, or specialized devices through various programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks.
It doesn't need though a microprocessor to be classified as one: as long as it executes tasks after some decision making (based on input from switches and sensors basically), it's a robot. Robots are two types: autonomous and controlled. So yes, remote controlled machines are robots.
