Graphics Card and Desktop

Hey guys, I have a little problem with my desktop and I hope some of you cold help.

I stopped using my desktop a while back because the power supply stopped working, after purchasing a new one recently, I tried to turn on my desktop, the desktop turned on but nothing was showing on the screen. After trying a couple of times to restart the computer I decided to remove the graphics card from the desktop and everything, suddenly was fine.

My first and most obvious guess is that the Graphics card is ruined, but is there any way to fix it, also what may be the cause of it's corruption.

I have the Palit 9400GT Super+ 1GB

Do you have a secondary video output (onboard graphics)? Did you try to simply reseat the card? Clean its connectors with alcohol / rubber eraser and try reseating the card if you haven't done so already. The card might not be corrupted at all. Try a different card if you have one available. Also try your card in a different system.

Did the system beep when it wasn't displaying anything? Did it show stranger than usual LED activity? (Light on all the time, light off all the time, constant flashing)

Yes, I have a secondary video output
I tried reseating and also cleaning it
I don't have another system to try it on
And for the last questions, No no beeping. The PC would turn on but no output on the screen no matter where I plug the VGA cable or HDMI

I haven't tried disabling my onboard graphics because my graphics card used to work normally in the past

No alcohol doesn't hurt PCBs or electronic components, just let it dry well before inserting it in the slot.

@yasamoka & Flakk: better use a WB-40 or Contact-90 spray for cleaning electronic connectors.

try washing the whole card in alcohol...i know its freaky but this has worked for me several times before on motherboards and VGA-s and lots of other components...
what i do is..i take the card completely apart...put a cloth under the card..and pur lots of alcohol on it then i brush it with a toothbrush and dry it with a hairdryer set on low...(don't forget to blow air under the chips) then i let it dry completely for a a day or two..and 60% of the time it works even better and cooler than before :D (don't forget to reapply the thermal grease)

lol!!! you have very weird solutions avok95..(same to laptop battery), but its nice using homemade solutions..:)
