I want to buy the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler for my graphics card. Check it out:

arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/18/accelero-xtreme-plus.html?c=2182

Does anybody want to order one? I found a guy on ebay selling them for 48 dollars. Note that you will have to buy a kit compatible with your graphics card too. So It comes up to around 60 dollars.

I would also like suggestions as to how to get them here without paying too much for shipping, since each cooler is 0.9kg.

instead of paying so much for the heatsink, get a good case with good airflow, stock graphic card heatsinks have always been good,if yours is running hot then you need good airflow :P
this way it will cost you less money, and no thanks im good :)

Stock coolers are good?? What about the gtx 480 that gets to 90-95C? What about the gtx 260 whiny turbine under load? Man even on open bench fan at 55 percent (which is whiny) the temperature gets up to 80C. Second thing, I have 2x 120 mm fans in front, 230 mm side fan, 200mm top fan, and 120mm back fan. Fans are at 50 percent, and when I increase them to 100 percent, the temperature does not even fluctuate. So no, it's not airflow. This cooler lasts you from one card to the next easily. Instead of paying for an overclocked card + custom cooling for a high price, get a stock card, whack this baby on it, and OC much higher, with sient fans.
Yasamoka, if it's compatible with 6970 HD, get me one with you.

Haha I knew YOU would want one! It's compatible with pretty much everything. Do you have a relative abroad or something? I'll try to find one. Maximum I should have them by august, though.
graphic card stock coolers an in fact good, it there are a few cards that the GPU is bad, as for the massive heat for the others, i guess our country is too hot, though 80C shouldn't be a problem, the cards can take it, as for silence, yeah i guess a new heatsink is worth it
In my personal experience it just depends on the manufacturer.

One brand to avoid in terms of stock GPU cooling is Inno3D, 2 of these died with my setup 3 years ago because of the crap cooler they had. Till i got an MSI with a passive cooler and i already had 2x 140mm fans on the side blowing into the card which kept it cool under 40C on Idle and 58C on load.

MSI and ASUS have good coolers but I have been told that the External Exhaust by EVGA isn't so good, can anyone with an EVGA EE card confirm this ?

Aren't you generalizing a bit? Can you please give us the models that used to overheat and die and the new MSI model that doesn't?

You're right, but it is awful that the 6950, 6970, and the GTX 260 run that hot with stock coolers. And no, I'm usually testing at 25C (normal) - 30C (max). I always refer to deltaT, and not T (absolute) when dealing with cooling and such.

actually im using the evga gtx460 EE
its really really good and runs really cool, one problem though, fan can get loud at ~50%
though ive never needed more than that , its automatic it adjusts by itself the max it reached was 50%
100% is an airplane, runs at 3540rpm
guess a little noise is worth dumping the hot air outside the case, its a life saver when you don't have enough airflow in your case

Yeah, my problem is the opposite :D I feel like all my case's cooling potential is going to waste by a stock cooler with a tiny fan sounding like an airplane...at 100% mine gets to 3220RPM.

Yes sorry i haven't mentioned the card series, they were an 8600GT Inno3d and 8800GTS inno3d also. Then I got the MSI 8600GT OC version passive cooler and is still working.

Looking at the current lineup of Inno3d cards the cooling fans look way better then the last couple of years. But still after that bad experience im not going to buy Inno3D cards anymore.

Thanks for that.
And what are your temps on Idle and Load ?

Thanks for the info...I still have Inno3D GeForce 6200 TurboCache cards working from 2005 :D one of them is working at least, don't know about the other...I think my old mobos have a problem with new graphics cards...often they boot with a black screen...

well i can't quite remember the temps but ive got to say its REALLY REALLY cool!
im not sure but i think it was around 35C while browsing the web and 65-70C max while gaming, that again i have to check, but no worries its really "cool"
