mk555 wroteI guess you shouldn't disassemble a laptop for fun, maybe you did something while disassembling it but yeah you could try to boot from a linux CD, by the way modding a laptop takes some some experience depending on what are you doing,so I suggest you research before doing something.
its an old laptop and that's ok ,(i need to trust my self and count on myself to discover electronics , and this type of discovering is way better then reading )
and about the linux live cd, it didn't works , i guess because the cd extract some files on the hdd , so it didn't work...
and i tried hiren boot , but it didn't detect any hdd, damn i love this peace of shit ...i have it for 6 years...
avok95) wrotetry removing the battery and the adapter plug and wait about 5min then plug them up again
or
try removing the HDD , turning it on then put it back in
or
check to see if the HDD is turning..if its not , try using an external box to see if its from the hard drive(because you might have shorted it with static electricity
or
clean the pins with some rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush(don't reinstall it wet!!)
tried them but no... i gonna try the external hdd solution..hope it works..
